FAU's Student Chapter of American Women in Mathematics hosted Florida Women in Math Day: A Celebration of Emmy Noether

Florida Atlantic University's student chapter of the Association of Women and Mathematics organized and hosted Florida Women in Math Day: A Celebration of Emmy Noether on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Florida Atlantic University.   The Association for Women in Mathematics encourages women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences. 

The Florida Women in Math Day (FWIMD) conference is open to anyone interested in mathematics at FAU and neighboring institutions.  Graduate students, undergraduates, high school students, faculty and educators are all welcome to attend!  Registration is always free.  This years' FWIMD conference included a series of research talks, a keynote speaker presentation, break out sessions, lunch, fellowship, and so much more!
