FAU Math faculty and students present their research at the OAL-RAG mathematics conference at Louisiana State University

Two faculty members and six graduate students from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) participated at a mathematics conference at Louisiana State University’s College of Science located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana May 8-10, 2026. The conference’s mathematical focus in on Order, Algebra, Logic, and Real Algebraic Geometry (OAL-RAG).

The FAU faculty members are Dr. Warren McGovern and Dr. Papiya Bhattacharjee, Ph.D. students, Christen Corbett, Manuel Lopez del Castillo and James Klinkenberg, presented their own research at OAL-RAG, 2026. Dr. Papiya Bhattacharjee stated, “The conference was a great success and the students’ talks received lots of positive responses from the audience.” Congratulations to our faculty and doctoral students!
