American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) for 2023-24 School Year

The Mathematical Association of America hosts the annual AMC contests for middle and high school students. Its purpose is to spur interest in mathematics and develop talent through the excitement of friendly competition at problem solving in a timed format.

The American Mathematics Competitions are a series of year-long contests which begin with the AMC-10/12. High scoring students continue on to the Invitational contest (AIME), and ultimately to the Mathematics Olympiad (USAMO and USAJMO). Those students whose USAMO and USAJMO performance has qualified them for the Mathematical Olympiad Program (MOP) are invited to attend. MOP is a mathematically stimulating summer experience designed to broaden students’ views of mathematics while fostering their excitement toward further math study. This program also provides training for our current US International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) team and puts students on the path toward potentially qualifying for the IMO team next year!

Congratulations to all participating students! The AMC Contests are very challenging! If you did not qualify for the AIME or USA(J)MO this year, please come back and try again next year.

A special CONGRATULATIONS to all graduating in 2024! You can all look forward to the Putnam Competition, also sponsored by the AMC through the college you decide to attend.

Contest Results for the 2023-24 Academic year are now final!

Competition updates can be viewed at https://maa.org/math-competitions.

Congratulations to Jessica W. and Kevin L. for receiving Silver Awards in the USAMO and to Marvin G. who received an Honorable Mention in the USAJMO!
