Join us for the brand new Reading Group this semester!
The mission is to advance undergraduate and graduate student interdisciplinary collaborations across the STEM fields.
The first meeting is Monday, March 18th at 5:00; Sandbox (Wimberly Library).
The focus will be on topics at the intersection of Biology, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
We plan to meet twice a month!

President: Mr. Matthew Trang Email: ttrang2019@fau.edu Bio: Matthew Trang graduated from Kyushu University, Japan, with a Master's degree in Mathematics and now he is pursuing his Ph. D. at Florida Atlantic University. He specializes in the applied aspects of commutative algebra, algebraic topology, and algebraic geometry. His current focus is on studying combinatorial neural codes and their algebraic properties. Besides, he is also interested in finding applications of algebra and/or topological data analysis in bio-math problems. |

Vice President: Mr. Deepak Bastola Deepak Bastola is a PhD student in Mathematics with a core interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. His current projects focus on developing a machine learning model for predicting malnutrition in children and stroke prediction using logistic regression. He is the founding president of the Mathematical Association of Nepal, an organization that has enabled Nepalese students to participate in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
