- Tests: There will be a 25-minute test from 10:25 to 10:50 each Friday,
except on November 23 (Thanksgiving). There will also be a 50-minute test on
Wednesday, November 28. No calculators, no other electronic devices,
no books, no notes. No make-up tests will be given.
- Grades: The final grade will be based your test grades.
Nim is one of the more interesting simple games. You can play it
here.
This is the misère version, as played in
Last year at Marienbad.
Hex is a more complicated game. You can play the 7-by-7 game
here,
if you have downloaded
Java. You can
play on other size boards with
HeXilla.
The simplex algorithm is the primary tool for doing linear programming.
