Palm Beach Chinese Academy (PBCA)

Welcome to the Chinese Academy!

  • Introduction (Announcement)
  • The Palm Beach Chinese Academy (PBCA) carries all functions of its predecessor, the Contemporary Chinese School of South Florida (CCSSF). The PBCA established in 2016 (The CCSSF established in 1995), is a non-profit, non-political organization run by volunteers dedicated to the promotion and understanding of Chinese language and culture. The primary mission of PBCA is to provide formal and systematic education of the Contemporary Chinese Language (Mandarin) and the simplified Chinese characters used in mainland China. The basic goal of the school is to teach students to listen, speak, read and write in Chinese. There are two semesters for each school year, Fall (Sept- Dec) and Spring (Jan-May). The Palm Beach Chinese Academy offers classes from 1st grade to 10th grade for students at ages of 6 or older. The 10th grade (Advanced Chinese Class) is initiated for high school students, focusing on Common Knowledge of China (including Culture, History, and Geography) and SAT II test preparation. All textbooks are from mainland, China. The textbooks are specially composed for over sea Chinese education. The School hours are from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Saturdays.
